    Adult Formation

Our parish faith formation process provides a comprehensive approach to discipleship that is rooted in the life of the Church, equips people to participate meaningfully in the life of the Church, and empowers them to live as disciples at home and in the world. We offer opportunities for adults to grow in their knowledge, understanding, and practice of the Catholic faith.

    Faith Formation and Spirituality

Immaculate Conception Church is committed to lifelong faith formation and whole community catechesis. This fosters in our minds and hearts the experience of God's reign in our midst as we form communities of faith, proclaim God's Word, celebrate the Sacraments, and build a just and compassionate society in which all people share God's gifts.

“Catechesis aims to bring about in the believer an ever more mature faith in Jesus Christ, a deeper knowledge and love of his person and message, and a firm commitment to follow him. The object of catechesis is communion with Jesus Christ. Catechesis leads people to enter the mystery of Christ, to encounter him, and to discover themselves and the meaning of their lives in him.”
-The National Directory for Catechesis, article 19

    Youth Formation

The Immaculate Conception Church Youth Ministry programs for youth in grades 6-12 (JYM & TYM) focuses on community and faith building. We look to provide guidance and teaching for the youth in the areas of stewardship, worship, evangelization, scripture, and having a personal relationship with God. Our goal is to develop the youth into mature, life-long members of the Body of Christ.

    Children Formation

The call to be a Catholic parent, to nurture the faith in your child and to share it in your family, makes you the first herald of the gospel for your child. A parent walks with a child under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, who directs the growth of each “in wisdom and age and grace.” The Faith Formation program for children  is intended to affirm and assist you in your efforts to share your faith with your children.

We would like to reaffirm that all parents and guardians are the first witnesses of the faith. "The Christian home is the place where children receive the first proclamation of the faith," (CCC, no.1666). When you presented your child for baptism, you promised to bring that child up in the faith. Catechists of the parish are here to support your family on our shared journey of faith. Children's enrollment in our Faith Formation program, or a Catholic school and weekly participation at the Sunday liturgy are expected of every Catholic family.
